A note from the Owner/Directors of the Academy...
We are very proud of the Academy and its faculty, which takes pride in some of the finest teachers and performers in the country. Our students have exhibited great ability, initiative and motivation due to their instructors. The diversity of our students has proven that, given the right instruction, they can achieve notable success in the music and art professions, including performance, scholarship, education, and therapy.
We are committed to direct your journey toward artistic goals that are fun and fulfilling, through lifelong learning and enjoyment.
Who We Are
Our Academies were established by musicians and music teachers who had a mission to bring to the community a standard of excellence for music education. For thirty years this mission has been fulfilled by hiring the best teachers whose credentials support that philosophy. The owner/directors expanded the studio lesson model from teaching mostly guitar, to a full program offering instrumental instruction, voice, and visual art, with a faculty dedicated to teaching excellence in a warm, comfortable environment. Our facility houses twelve studios, a recital hall, and a visual art studio, all in a beautiful historical building in the thriving center of Gainesvilles commercial and academic district.
Lessons are customized to individuals in private music and art lessons, as well as group lessons in drawing and painting. A special program for early music education, MusikGarten, gives even the youngest child an opportunity to develop skills in movement, instrumental music, and group activities. This has been proven to help teach basic skills in aural and physical connections in learning environments. The Academy has been given approval by the school system so that its lessons count for required arts credits in home school and high school programs.
The success of our school is measured by the thousands of students who have reached their aims, whether to experience the joy of personal expression for fun, or to advance to the professional level or career goals. Several faculty members have expertise teaching special needs students.
Please feel free to contact us to talk about the program which suits you and to answer questions about our enrollment policies, or how to schedule lessons according to your time needs and level of experience. Call (352) 372-8004 or visit the Contact Us page on this website.
